Transport to Conference

Des’s Minibus is the Conference Transport Sponsor.  For the duration of the conference Des’s will provide free transport in Whyalla between venues for conference events.

Des’s are also providing the option of travelling to and from the conference by bus which is a carefree option of getting there.  The cost of the Bus trip is $75 each way.  Choose between a leisurely scenic drive or an after work express service (subject to demand). Pickup/drop off of passengers along the route can be by prior arrangement.  Prior registration for the selected options to and from the conference is required.

Option 1 – The Scenic Tour, Friday 3rd April

8:00am sharp! Depart Adelaide (from Des’s at 10 Bacon Street Hindmarsh)
10:30 – 11:15 am Morning tea at Tarlee Bakery (at own cost)
12:00 – 14:00 Seven Hill Cellars

Enjoy a tour of the winery and wine tasting provided by the Conference Wine Sponsor, Seven Hill Cellars.  Wine will be available for purchase.

Lunch is available at a cost of $20 per person with a choice of Frittata with Salad or Chicken with Salad, Chocolate brownie or muffin, Tea or Coffee and a bottle of water.  Lunch is provided by Clare Rotary Club.

15:30 – 16:00 Afternoon Tea at Harry’s Homemade Fine Foods (at own cost)

Delicious Home made products, jams, Chutneys, meats

17:00 Arrive at the Whyalla Visitor Centre in time for the Conference opening function, The Mayoral Reception, hosted by the City of Whyalla.  Conference Registration on arrival.

Tag Along Tour: If you would like to join the tour in your car, registration is required for catering purposes and there will be a cost of $20 per person for the tour and wine tasting at Seven Hill Cellars.

Option 2 – Express Bus, Friday 3rd April

Depart Adelaide at 5 pm and arrive in Whyalla approximately 4.5 hours later.  There will be one comfort stop and food and drinks can be purchased from outlets on the way.  Arrival will be after completion of the conference opening function.

 

Whyalla to Adelaide, Sunday 5th April

Option 1 – Departs at 1:30 pm, directly after the conference ends

Option 2 – Departs at 4pm to allow participation in post conference tour or community service project.
